ExtraEnergia: Website update & brand refresh

Intro

My work with Extra Energia focused on reshaping how their digital presence reflects their position in the energy market. In collaboration with Resaco, I led the redesign of their website and contributed to a broader brand refresh. The goal was not just visual improvement, but to create a system that supports long-term growth, clarity, and consistency across their digital touchpoints.

Challenges

The existing website struggled with both perception and usability. Visually, the brand felt outdated and inconsistent, with mismatched elements that weakened trust and recognition. The user experience created friction, especially in key sections where users needed clarity to understand services and take action. Content lacked structure, making it difficult to scan or navigate efficiently. Internally, the absence of a scalable design system meant that updates risked introducing further inconsistency over time.

Solution

I approached the project by aligning brand, structure, and usability into a single system. I introduced a refined visual direction that modernized the brand while keeping it grounded in the company’s identity. On the UX side, I restructured core pages and sections to improve flow, hierarchy, and readability, ensuring users could quickly find and understand key information.

A major part of the work was building a modular design block system. This included reusable section templates and clearly defined components that allow the team to expand and update the site without breaking visual or functional consistency. The system was designed to be practical for real use, not just visually coherent.

Impacts

The redesigned experience presents Extra Energia as a more credible and forward-thinking company. Navigation and content clarity improved, reducing friction in key user journeys and making the site easier to engage with.

Internally, the design system shifted how the website can evolve. Instead of relying on one-off design decisions, the team now has a flexible and structured foundation to build on. This supports faster updates, more consistent outputs, and a stronger brand presence over time.
