Kymppiremontit: Website update & brand refresh

Intro

Kymppiremontit is a Finnish renovation company whose online presence did not reflect the quality or clarity of their services. I worked on this project in collaboration with the agency Resaco to redesign and restructure their website. My role focused on elevating the visual direction, improving usability, and creating a system that the client could maintain long term. The goal was not only a better looking site, but a clearer and more effective experience for potential customers.

Challenges

The existing website suffered from inconsistent visual language and a lack of hierarchy. Typography, spacing, and color usage varied across pages, which weakened trust and made the brand feel outdated. Navigation was unclear and key information was buried, forcing users to search too hard for essential details like services, pricing cues, and contact points. Content structure was fragmented, with sections that did not guide the user toward action. There was also no scalable system in place, so updating or expanding the site risked introducing more inconsistency.

Solution

I led a brand refresh that modernized the visual identity while staying grounded in the company’s existing tone and market. This included refining typography, tightening the color palette, and establishing consistent spacing and layout rules. On the UX side, I restructured key pages to create a clearer flow, prioritizing user intent and making conversion paths more direct. I developed a modular design system composed of reusable blocks and section templates. These components were designed to be flexible but controlled, allowing the client to build new pages or update content without breaking visual consistency. The system also made collaboration with developers smoother by providing clear patterns and constraints.

Impacts

The redesigned site presents Kymppiremontit as more credible and professional, which is critical in a trust driven industry like home renovation. Users can now navigate services more easily and understand offerings without confusion. The improved structure supports faster decision making and encourages more inquiries. Internally, the design system reduced friction for future updates, giving the client and their partners a practical toolkit rather than a static design. The result is not just a redesigned website, but a foundation that can evolve with the business while maintaining quality and coherence.
